NIT Tiruchirappalli notifies MSc Admission 2015

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli invites applications for Master of Science (M.Sc) for the year 2015.

Master of Science (M.Sc) Admission is conducted by National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli.

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into various M.Sc Programmes offered in the Dept of Physics, Chemistry and Computer Applications for the academic year 2015-16

Master of Science (M.Sc) Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

M.Sc (Physics):
i) B.Sc (Physics/Applied Physics/Applied Sciences); ii) B.S (Physics); iii) B.Sc Hons (Physics); iv) B.Sc Ed (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

M.Sc (Chemistry):
=> Chemistry with Mathematics as one of the ancillary subjects

M.Sc (Computer Science):
i) B.Sc (Computer Science)/ B.Sc (Information Technology)/ BCA,
ii) B.Sc (Applied Sciences) with Mathematics and Computer Science (10+2+3 scheme) from a recognized university,
iii) Any Bachelor’s degree in science (10+2+3) from a recognized university with at least 6 papers in Computer Science and 2 papers in Mathematics under semester system or at least 3 papers in Computer Science and 1 paper in Mathematics under Annual System

=> Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying degree exam for OC/OBC/OCPWD/OBCPWD candidates [55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/SCPWD/STPWD candidates] for admission to all M.Sc program.

Application Procedure for Master of Science (M.Sc):

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. published details for informational purpose.

=> A Demand Draft for Rs.300/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities) drawn from any nationalized bank (preferably State Bank of India) not earlier than 15th Apr 2015 in favour of “The Director, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-620 015” payable at Tiruchirappalli towards registration fee.

=> The candidates are requested to write their name on the reverse side of the Demand Draft

=> The registration fee is non-refundable

=> Application forms completed in all respects should reach “The Chairperson (PG Admission), Office of the Dean (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-620015, Tamil Nadu” by registered post or speed post before 05.00 p.m on or before 22nd May 2015

Candidates are required to submit following Documents:
i) All mark lists,

ii) Degree/Provisional certificate (Course Completion/Bonafied certificate from the Head of the Institution where he/she last studied for result awaiting candidates),

iii) Community certificate (if applicable),

iv) PWD certificate (if applicable) and

v) A Demand Draft for Rs.300/-

  • Last date for receipt of Applications : 22nd May 2015
  • Date of Examination Master of Science (M.Sc) 2015: 07th June 2015
  • Declaration of Master of Science (M.Sc) 2015 Results: 17th June 2015 (tentatively)
