MPhil PhD Admission 2015-16 @ National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi

National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi invites applications for M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes for the year 2015.

M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes is conducted by National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi.

The National University offers M. Phil and Ph.D. programmes in educational planning and administration from a broader interdisciplinary social Science perspective.The three programmes leading to MPhil.and Ph.D. degrees are as under:

i. M.Phil. Programme
ii. Full-time Ph.D.Programme
iii. Parttime Ph.D.Programme

These programmes are designed to build theresearch capacity of scholars from varied backgrounds and provide a strong knowledge and skill base in related areas of educational policy, planning, administration and finance. The research studies completed under the M. Phil. and Ph. D. programmes are expected to make significant contributions in enriching the knowledge base, besides providing critical inputs for policy formulation, implementation of reform programmes and capacity.

M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
M.Phil. Programme
=> Candidates seeking admission to the MPhil. Programmeshall have minimum of 55% marks (50% for SCST candidates and Persons with Disabilities) or its equivalent grade in Masters Degree in Social Sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing Masters degree in other areas may also be considered if heshe has teaching experience or experience of working in the area of educational policy, planning and administration.

=> The NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC, withtheabovementioned educational qualifications are encouraged to apply.

=> Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination atthe Masters level are also eligible to apply provided they pass the examination asperthe eligibility conditions laid down at (a) above and submit its proof at the time of the entrance examination. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission of such candidates who are unable to produce the evidence of passing the Masters degree by first week of July 2015.

=> In 2015-16, a maximum of 20 scholars shall be selected for admission to the MPhil. Programme.

Full-time Ph.D. Programme
=> The university also offers admission to Ph.D. Programme for candidates with M.Phil. Degreein an area closely related to educational policy, planning and administration in addition to the qualifications mentioned in 3.1 (a) above andor exceptionally brilliant academic record in socialsciencesallied areas coupled with publications of high quality.

=> M.Phil. graduates of NUEPA will be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Programme after due scrutiny by a SelectionAdmission Committee, if they obtain a FGPA of 6 or above on the ten point Scale.

Part time Ph.D. Programme
=> University also offers Parttime Ph.D. Programme based on the criteria as laid down in the rules of the university. Acandidate seeking admission to Parttime Ph.D. programme is required to meet the following criteria:
i. Should possessthe educational qualifications asmentionedin Para .a) above;
ii. Currently,should beinfull-time employment;
iii. Should be a senior level educational functionary with a minimum offive years workeyperience inteachingresearchorin educational policy, planningandadministration.

Application Procedure for M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes:

Candidates may apply in the prescribed form (separately for each programme) for admission to M. Phil. and Ph.D. programmes of the University along with three copies of the brief writeup on the proposed researchtopicona contemporary issue within the broadframework of educational policy, planning and administration.

The Prospectuscan be downloaded from ourwebsite:www.nuepa.org The duly filledin applicationalong with the demand draft (requiredfordownloadedforms) and three copies of the brief writeup on any one of the proposed areas) of research in around 2500 words within the broad areas of educational policy, planning, administration and finance as per the outline given below should be sent by registered post to the Registrar so as to reach him latest by 15th May, 2015. The envelope should be distinctly marked as Admission to M. Phil. or Ph.D. or Parttime Ph.D. Programme 2015.The filledin application can also be submitted in person to the office of the Registrar. Candidates in employment should send their application for admission through proper channel.
