MH CET 2015 (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) Notifications and Exam Dates

The Government of Maharashtra invites applications for MH-CET for the year 2015-16.

MH-CET is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP&O & BSc. Nursing courses at The Government of Maharashtra

MH-CET 2015 is conducted by The Government of Maharashtra.

The Government of Maharashtra will conduct MH-CET entrance examination for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP&O & BSc. Nursing courses for academic year 2015-16. The MH-CET-2015 will be conducted on Thursday, dated 7th May, 2015 at all the District Headquarters of Maharashtra. The detailed time schedule will be declared in due course.

MH CET 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Health Science Degree Courses: The candidate must be an Indian National

=> The candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from an Institution situated in the State of Maharashtra.

=> Exception for SSC (10th Std. or equivalent examination) : Candidate who has passed SSC or equivalent examination from an institute situated outside Maharashtra State and HSC or equivalent examination from within Maharashtra State is eligible for seeking admission to the courses in Health Science provided that he/she is DOMICILE of Maharashtra

=> Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Non Resident Indian (NRI)/overseas citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible

=> The candidate must be born on or before 31st Dec 1997 to be eligible to appear for MHCET-2015

=> However, for admission to Ayurved and Unani courses, candidate must be born on or before 01st October 1998

=> The Birth certificate indicating name of the candidate, Secondary School Certificate i.e. SSC or equivalent examination certificate or School Leaving Certificate endorsing the date of birth will constitute a valid proof

=> The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of Preference form filling as per proforma

Eligibility Criteria of Qualifying Exam for various courses:

MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BUMS:
=> A candidate belonging to Open Category must have obtained not less than 50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Exam A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation and constitutional reservation with PwD claim must have obtained not less than 40% (i.e. 120 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination
PH in General category must secure not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination

B.Sc Nursing:
A candidate belonging to open category (OP) must have obtained not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at HSC (or equivalent) examination. A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at HSC (or equivalent) Exam

BHMS/BPTh/BOTh/BASLP and BP&O Courses:
Passing grade at HSC/12th Standard or equivalent examination is however necessary BP&O candidate who has passed 12th standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and / or Mathematics is eligible BASLP, candidate who has passed 12th standard examination with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and/or Mathematics and/or Computer Science is eligible The candidate who is appearing for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent exam) in February/March 2015 is eligible to appear for MH-CET-2015, however they must fulfill the eligibility condition at Para 4.5 at the time of filling up of the Preference Form

Mode of Examination

MH CET 2015 is Computer Based Test (CBT).

Application Procedure for MH CET 2015:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

i) The Information Brochure for MH CET 2015 is available on website www.dmer.org. Candidate is advised to download and print the brochure. For submission of online application form the candidates should login http://www.dmer.org/vol2013.htm website. The detail procedure for online submission of application form and registration is as follows.

ii) Procedure for MHCET 2015 Registration and payment through State Bank of India (SBI) branches:
A candidate has to first register for MHCET 2015 at http://www.dmer.org/vol2013.htm and only then he/she can make the payment at the branches of SBI

a) Registration: In order to register online, the candidate has to visit the website http://www.dmer.org/vol2013.htm and click MHCET 2015 Registration. The MHCET 2015 Registration page opens up wherein he/she has to fill-in the online form. The information to be provided includes personal details and uploading of your recent colour passport photograph and signature.

b) Filling of Online Application Form: The candidate will be prompted to enter his/her valid email id, mobile Number and a password on the first login. All these three must be carefully noted and retained by the candidate for all future correspondence with MHCET Office, downloading MHCET Admit card etc. The candidate can continue and complete his/ her filling up of educational details.

c) To Upload Photographs & Signatures: Please note that all the applicants are required to upload their scanned/digital recent colour photograph and signature. File size of each of the Photograph and Signature should not be more than 50 KB per file. The online application system will not allow uploading files larger than 50 KB. All Candidates have to upload his/ her Photograph and Signature only in "Jpeg" format and file name of Photograph and signature should preferably be photo.jpeg and sign.jpeg respectively.

d) For Uploading Photograph: Take your recent colour passport size photograph. The picture should be taken against a light/white background. In case the face on the photograph is not clear, your application is liable to be rejected. Candidate should upload such scanned/digital photograph.

File size of each of the Photograph should not be more than 50 KB per file, otherwise it will not be allowed by the System to upload

To reduce the size, crop the image of the passport size photograph in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor
Please ensure that only the full face portion is cropped and not the entire photograph

The pattern of MH-CET-2015 will be as follows :

=> The syllabus for MH-CET-2015 will be same as prescribed for MH CET 2014 examination. The said syllabus includes topics from standard 11th and
standard 12th. The syllabus is available on website of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai i.e. www.dmer.org.
=> There will be single question paper containing 180 MCQ's. Each MCQ will have 4 options with single best response type from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which includes Botany & Zoology).

=> The duration of the examination will be 3 hrs.

=> Each question will carry 4 marks and examination will have total score of 720 marks.

=> Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. The negative marking patter of MH CET 2014 will not be there in this entrance test. The concerned candidates, colleges and parents should note this.

=> The question paper will be in English, Marathi & Urdu languages as per the choice of the student.

=> The result of this entrance examination will be declared in 'Percentage' as done in MH-CET-2014

=> For academic year 2015-16, the eligibility in terms of marks & percentage for MBBS and BDS courses will be as prescribed by Medical Council of India & Dental Council of India.

=> All the concerned Students/ Parents & Principals should take note of above features of MH-CET-2015 Entrance Examination
