Kumaun University, Nainital invites applications for MPharm Admission 2015

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kumaun University, Nainital invites applications for admissions to M.Pharm for the academic year 2015 - 16.

M.Pharm is conducted by Kumaun University, Nainital.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (the then Department of Pharmacy) was established in 1997 at Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, Durham House Nainital to cater the long lasting demand of the people of the Uttarakhand state and to impart professional training to the students of the region. The Department is presently situated in the scenic valley of Bhimtal amidst the Shivalik and middle Himalayan ranges. The cool climatic conditions along with the serene beauty of the nature in region provide an apt environ to imbibe the knowledge being disseminated.

Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)

Intake:

1. Pharmaceutics 18 (15 open, 3 sponsored) seats
2. Pharmaceutical Chemistry 18 (15 open, 3 sponsored) seats
3. Pharmacology 18 (15 open, 3 sponsored) seats
4. Pharmacognosy 18 (15 open, 3 sponsored) seats
Ph. D programme in Pharmacy has also been initiated from academic session, 2009-2010

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

For admission to first semester of M.Pharm course the candidate should have passed the examination for the degree of B.Pharm of this University or any other University/ institute in India, recognized as equivalent thereto by the University with at least 50% marks in aggregate
Note:
(i) Preference will be given to GPAT qualified students.
(ii) Candidates sponsored by the Industry/Academic Institutions have to produce sponsorship certificate from competent authority.

Application must be sent on the prescribed format along with a demand draft of Rs. 1500/- (One thousand five hundred only) Rs.750/- (seven hundred fifty only) in case of SC/ ST candidates, in favour of ‘Department of Pharmaceutical SciencesM.Pharm. course’, payable at Bank of Baroda, Nainital so as to reach the Department on or before Friday, 10 July 2015

Application form complete in all respects should reach, The Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kumaun University, Bhimtal Campus, Bhimtal, 263136, Uttarakhand by hand/speed post/ registered post on or before 10 July 2015 (4 p.m.). The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences shall not be responsible for any delay.

Kumaun University is headquartered in Nainital. The University was established in 1973 under the UP State Act. The University has two campuses one each in Nainital and Almora and 27 affiliated colleges spread over the whole Kumaun region, that are fast adding a lot of beautiful structures to add to the panoramic and scenic beauty of the surroundings. One more Campus is being developed at Bhimtal to cater the needs of professional, technical and vocational education.
