Physical Research Laboratory, Navrangpura invites applications for Junior Research Fellowship Programme for the year 2015.

Junior Research Fellowship Programme 2015 is conducted by Physical Research Laboratory, Navrangpura.

Junior Research Fellowships programme starting in July 2015 will lead to a PhD in the broad areas of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Planetary Sciences, Geosciences, Space and Atmospheric Sciences, Experimental Laser and Atomic Physics and Theoretical Physics.

JRF Programme Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences of related disciplines in sciences with first class or equivalent at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels

=> Master’s degree award should be on or after August 2013

=> Those students expecting a Master’s degree by August 2015 are also eligible to apply

=> Age Limit: 25 years as on 31st December, 2014 (born on or after 31st December, 1989)

Fellowship
The selected candidates will be offered a consolidated amount of Rs.16, 000/- per month for two years which will be raised to Rs.18, 000/- in the third year subject to satisfactory academic review Refer to the website www.prl.res.in for details regarding current research areas, eligibility criteria, research fellowship, selection procedure etc
