Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (IPWE), New Delhi invites applications for admissions to Correspondence Course to Diploma in Railway Engineering for the academic year 2015 - 16.

Correspondence Course to Diploma in Railway Engineering is conducted by Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (IPWE), New Delhi.

The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (India) Invites applications for admission to the Correspondence Course of Diploma in Railway Engineering for the academic year 2015-16

Duration: 6 months each

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Railway Personnel working as employees of Indian Railways including employees of Konkan Railway, Port Trust Railways, RITES, IRCON, CRIS, CONCOR, DMRC, RLDA, RVNL, MVRC and other Railway PSUs: High School/SSC or equivalent qualification with maths or science and having a minimum of 3 years experience over Railways or having 3-years Diploma in any Engineering discipline recognised by Central/State or Union Territory Government or a Science/ Engineering Graduate or a Graduate having had Maths or Science as one of the subjects in Intermediate/Plus 2 of SSC

=> Non-Railway persons: The applicant should be a 3-years Diploma holder in any discipline of Engineering recognised by Central/State or UT Government or a Science/Engineering Graduate or a Graduate having had Maths or Science as one of the subjects in Intermediate/Plus 2 of SSC

Application Procedure:

Prospectus containing the application form along with other details can be obtained from the office of IPWE (India), at the address given above or at our associate office in Baroda House, New Delhi either in cash by paying Rs.100/- or by sending Bank Draft of Rs.150/- (including postal charges) in favour of IPWE (India) payable at New Delhi along with a self addressed envelop (size 25 cm x 15 cm.)

Intimation about the provisional admission will be sent through e mail address indicated by candidates after which the candidate should send an attested copy of the eligibility qualification along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2950/- (including Service Tax & cost of Prospectus) must reach the office of IPWE (India), Room No.G-11, Rail Bhavan, Raisina Road, New Delhi-110118 latest by 31st August 2015

Fee Details:

=> The fees for Semester I of Diploma Course is Rs.2000/- plu Rs.280 for Service Tax (Total Rs.2280/-) for railwaymen and Rs.2500/- plu Rs.350/- for Service Tax (Total Rs.2850/-) for Non-Rlymen

=> The fees for Semester II is Rs.2400/- plu Rs.336/- for Service Tax (Total Rs.2736/-) for railwaymen and Rs.2900/- plus Rs.406/- for Service Tax (Total Rs.3306/-) for Non-Rlymen

=> In addition, there is a fee of Rs.3000/- plus Rs.420/- for Service Tax (Total Rs.3420/-) for optional contact classes. Classes are normally held every year in the month of October 2015 on the dates

The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (India) is a technical body set up under the auspices of Railway Ministry for sharing knowledge and experience of various Railway Engineers connected with Permanent Way (Railway track), bridges and other structures. The Institution was formed on May 18, 1967 with its Headquarters at Pune and was subsequently registered as a Public Trust Office at Pune on 28.7.1972.
