The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai invites applications for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) for the year 2015.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) is conducted by The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai.

Ph.D Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates should have master’s degree in any branch of science or engineering.

Ph.D Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

  • Last date for receipt of Applications : 20th April, 2015
  • Date of interview: May/June, 2015

Selection Process:

=> Candidates should have valid test score from any national research entrance examination (UGC-CSIR NET, JEST, GATE, NBHM, DBT BINC, etc). Test scores must be valid as of June 2015.

=> The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview conducted by IMSc, Chennai.

The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), founded in 1962 and based in the verdant surroundings of the CIT campus in Chennai, is a national institution which promotes fundamental research in frontier disciplines of the mathematical and physical sciences: Theoretical Computer Science, Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, as well as in many interdisciplinary fields. Around a hundred researchers, including faculty members, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students, are members of the Institute at any given time, in addition to a large number of visitors from all over the world.
