Himachal Pradesh University Invites Applications for Master of Philosophy ( M.Phil) 2015

Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla invites applications for admissions to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) for the academic year 2015 - 16.

Master of Philosophy ( M.Phil) is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla

Courses Offered:

Master of Philosophy ( M.Phil.) is open in the subjects of Bio-Technology, Botany,Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science , Psychology, Public Administration, Sanskrit, Sociology and Zoology.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> The candidates who have passed or have appeared in the qualifying examination(s) are eligible for admission to above courses and can apply for appearing in the Entrance Examination.

=> A candidate seeking admission to the M.Phil course must have at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST) in the subject concerned at Master's level.

Qualifying Marks for Admission to M.Phil.
=> It was decided that qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for admission to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) shall be 50% (at par with Ph.D.). In case of SC/ST candidates, qualifying marks in the Entrance Test shall be 45%.

=> A candidate seeking admission to the M.Phil. course in Biotechnology must have atleast 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST) in M.Sc. Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry

Application Procedure:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

The Application Forms, complete in all respect (relevant certificates/documents, Admit Card, Result-cumInterview card, Identification Sheet, Two Self addressed envelopes with postage stamps of Rs. 6/-) should be submitted to the Chairman/ Chairperson of the concerned Teaching Departments. NO APPLICATION FORM SHALL BE ENTERTAINED AFTER THE LAST DATE IS OVER

The Last Date for receipt of Admission forms along with requisite fee ( i.e. IPOs/ Demand Draft in favour of the Finance Officer, HPU, Shimla) for admission to the above mentioned courses be submitted in the Department concerned.
