IMI Delhi Fellow Program in Management Admission

The Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is the doctoral program offered by the International Management Institute (IMI) in New Delhi. This program entails a combination of essential core courses, specialized research-based courses aligned with the candidate’s interests, self-study modules, and a central focus on the individual’s chosen topic for their thesis. FPM scholars are encouraged to collaborate closely with IMI faculty members in their respective areas of interest, contributing to the advancement of both theoretical knowledge and practical applications in the field of business management. The program accommodates both full-time and part-time students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must possess any one of the following eligibility criteria
  • A Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Those in the final year of their post-graduation may also apply.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade point average. Those in the final year of their engineering degree may also apply.
  • A Bachelor’s degree plus any professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, CS, and CFA with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
  • In Addition Part Time students should have a minimum 5 years of relevant full time work experience.

Instructions of online application:

  • User should create a new account while applying online
  • The login details will be used for filling the admission form and for checking the status of the application later.
  • After logging in successfully, the admission form will be displayed.
  • Applicants should complete the online application form and submit the same along with the admission fee which is non-refundable.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on
    • IMI Research Aptitude Test
    • Waiver of IMI Research Aptitude Test if any of the following tests taken in the last 5 years CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ XAT/ NET/ NMAT
    • Research Interest Assessment Interview

Fee Waivers & Other Financial Support:

FPM Full-time [FT] students: The participants are awarded the following waivers and financial support

  • Tuition Fee: 100% waiver of fees for the entire program duration.
  • Learning Resource Fee: 100% waiver throughout the program.
  • Stipend: Eligible candidates will receive a monthly stipend of INR 65,000 for four years from the program’s start date.
  • Accommodation: Full-time FPM scholars can request hostel accommodation, subject to availability, provided free of cost. Mess charges are applicable as per prevailing rates.
  • Contingency Grant: Upon successful completion of the comprehensive examination, scholars are eligible for a total contingency grant of INR 90,000 (at INR 30,000 per annum). This grant can cover incidental expenses like data collection, stationery, hardware/software, and others.
  • Conference Support: The institute offers a cumulative grant of INR 1,50,000 for presenting research papers at domestic and international conferences, subject to institute norms and successful completion of the comprehensive examination.
  • Additional Conference Support Linked to Research Output: Scholars who publish in high-quality Peer Reviewed Journals will receive an additional conference support grant of INR 2,00,000 for each such publication. The paper must be co-authored with an IMI New Delhi faculty member, and the scholar must ensure submission with IMI New Delhi affiliation.
  • Note: Superior quality is determined by IMI New Delhi’s journal quality categorization standards, significantly surpassing minimum requirements for degree completion. The publication must be submitted with IMI New Delhi affiliation.

FPM Part-time students (academicians): The participants are awarded the following waivers:

  • Tuition fee: 50% waiver of fee throughout the duration of program
  • Learning Resource fee: 50% waiver throughout the duration of program  
  • FPM Part-time students (corporate executives): The participants must pay the fee as per the above schedule.
