CTET Sept 2015 (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Notification and Exam Dates

 

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi invites applications for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the academic year September 2015.

CTET is an yearly exam conducted for candidates to be eligible for appointment as teacher for Class I to VIII.

8th Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Sept 2015 is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET
Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
=> Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR

=> Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR

=> Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR

=> Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR

=> Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
=> Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR

=> Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR

=> Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR

=> Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR

=> Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR

=> Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

=> Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of the CTET result.

=> The candidate should satisfy his/her eligibility before applying and shall be personally responsible in case he/she is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria

Application Procedure:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

=> Online Application has to be submitted by accessing the following CTET website www.ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all the details while filling up the ‘On-line’ Application. After depositing fee in Bank, Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page after successful submission of data. (if fees paid through Challan) and keep it for records and future reference if required.

Method of Submission of Online Application Form:
STEP 1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online ” and open the same.
STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form
STEP 4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
STEP 5: Pay examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card
STEP 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

General/OBC
Only Paper I or II : Rs.600/-
Both Paper I & II :Rs.1000/-

SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person
Only Paper – I or II : Rs.300/-
Both Paper – I & II: Rs.500/-

Service Charges & Service Taxes (as applicable) will be charged extra by the Bank

Important Dates:

CTET Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

  • Online registration starts: 30th July, 2015
  • Last Date for Online Registration: 19th August, 2015
  • Last date for payment of fees Through E-Challan or Debit/Credit Card by the candidate : 20th August, 2015 (before 03:30 PM)
  • Period for On-line Corrections in Particulars: 21st August, 2015 to 25th August, 2015
  • CTET 2015 Admit Card: 4th September, 2015
  • Date of Examination CTET 2015 Paper II (09.30 TO 12.00 HOURS): 20th September, 2015
  • Date of Examination CTET 2015 Paper I (14.00 TO 16.30 HOURS): 20th September, 2015

Pattern of Examination

The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQs). There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET.

(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
