Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Hyderabad invites applications for admissions to M.Tech Mechatronics Course for the academic year 2020 - 21.

M.Tech Mechatronics is conducted by Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Hyderabad.

Central Institute of Tool Design is an Institute in India to provide specialized training in Tool Engineering, CAD/CAM, Mechatronics & Robotics. The Institute was originally established in the year 1968 by the Govt. of India with the assistance of UNDP and ILO.

Applications are invited in the prescribed format for admissions into the following Long Term course conducted under Industry-Institution joint programme with JNTU, Hyderabad, Approved by AICTE, commencing from OCTOBER, 2020.

Duration:

2 years (4 semesters)

Intake:

25 seats (15 General+3 SC+1 ST+1 PH Selfsponsored+ 5 Industry Sponsored) + ( 7 Non Creamy Layer OBC Category SUBJECT TO APPROVAL FROM JNTUH)

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical/ ECE/ EEE/ EIE/ Mechatronics/ Automobile/ Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination from the Institutions approved by AICTE.

=> Application form and prospectus can be obtained from Training Department, MSME Tool Room /Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad – 500 037, on any working day between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

=> Filled application forms can be sent to the Director (Trg), CITD, Hyderabad, along with prescribed application cost by way of Demand Draft drawn in favor of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad,

=> Candidates who wish to consider their application under sponsored category also, should submit the sponsoring letter and experience certificate along with the application. No age limit for sponsored category candidates. However, preference will be given to those candidates whose age is below 45 years. Seats will be allotted strictly based on the rank obtained in the entrance examination subject to fulfilling the other criteria applicable to the category

Fee Details:

Course fee : Self Sponsored – Rs. 39,000/- per semester Sponsored – Rs.48,500/- per semester

Cost of Application : Rs. 800/- for general category and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST category candidates and for PWD candidates fully exempted

However SC/ST/PWD category candidates need to enclose proof of their category duly attested by a Gazetted Officer

Selection Process:

=> Candidates under all categories will be selected based on the rank obtained in the Entrance examination.
=> Reservation for SC/ST/PWD quota exists as per Govt. of India norms.

Central Institute of Tool Design(CITD) established in 1968 by the Govt. of India with the assistance of UNDP and ILO, is a poineering Institution in the field of Tool Engineering in the Country. The Institute was initially established as an United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Project and was executed by International Labour Organisation (ILO). The Precision machinery and equipment was donated by UNDP and the faculty were trained abroad in the area of Tool Engineering.
