Eligibility Criteria
- B.ASLP : Admission to B.ASLP is open to candidates who have passed the 2-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-University Board of the State of Karnataka or any other examination (10+2) considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore.
- Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in the PCMB group or combinations thereof, in their II PUC or qualifying examination are eligible for admission.
- Only those candidates who have studied at least three subjects from among Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology are eligible for admission.
- B.Ed. Spl. Ed.(HI) : Admission to B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) is open to candidates who have passed any degree examination of the University of Mysore or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore.
- Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks either in Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters degree in Sciences / Social Sciences /Humanities, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
- 5% of marks relaxation for SC/ST/PWD categories.
- M.Sc. (Speech-Language Pathology) / M.Sc. (Audiology) : Students with a BASLP / B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) degree fulfilling all the following criteria are eligible for admission.
- BASLP / B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) degree from the University of Mysore or any other University / Institute considered as equivalent.
- An average of not less than 55% of marks or Equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination.
- M.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) : Candidate who has successfully passed B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) degree of the University of Mysore or any B.Ed. (HI) recognized by RCI of any other University considered as equivalent thereto with an average of not less than 50% of marks in the qualifying examination are eligible. At the time of admission, students should produce a Degree Certificate as per the University of Mysore guidelines with RCI registration.
- Candidate who has successfully passed the B.Ed. General course and has successfully completed Diploma in Education Special Education (HI) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India with minimum 50% marks in each program.
- A student with B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. B.Ed.Spl.Ed.(HI) (4 years integrated).
- Candidates should have valid RCI registration.
- P.G. Diploma Auditory Verbal Therapy* : Candidate with a graduate degree in Audiology /Speech-Language Pathology/Speech and Hearing, or Special Education (HI), or equivalent degree from any University
- Ph.D. : Master degree or equivalent in related subjects with a minimum of 55% (50% in the case of SC/ST) marks.
- Post Doctoral Programs : Ph.D. from a recognized University in the area of speech, language, and/or hearing.
- Research experience in any Institution supported by a certificate by the Head of the Institution is desirable.
- At least two publications as the main author singly/jointly in indexed journals.

- Candidates are advised to carefully review the Prospectus available on the AIISH website before applying to familiarize themselves with the details. For the B.ASLP / M.Sc. (Aud.)/M.Sc. (SLP) programs, candidates must apply exclusively through the online platform.
- Those intending to sit for both the M.Sc. (Aud.)/M.Sc. (SLP) Entrance Examination must submit separate applications for each. For Non-entrance based programs, candidates must send a duly filled and signed hardcopy of the application to the Director, AIISH, Manasagangothri, Mysuru-570006, before 30.6.2024.
- Failure to adhere to these instructions will result in disqualification.
