All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore invites applications for admissions to P.G. Diploma Programmes for the academic year 2015 - 16.

P.G. Diploma Programmes Admission is conducted by All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore

Duration: One Year

Intake: 10

Courses Offered:

P.G. Diploma in Clinical Linguistics for Speech-Language Pathology
P.G. Diploma in Forensic Speech Sciences and Technology
P.G. Diploma in Neuro-Audiology*
P.G. Diploma in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (PGDAAC)

P.G. Diploma Programmes Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

P.G. Diploma in Clinical Linguistics for Speech-Language Pathology
=> Candidates with a degree in B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / BASLP from an institution that is recognised by RCI and considered as equivalent thereto with an average of not less than 50% of marks are eligible for admission.

P.G. Diploma in Forensic Speech Sciences and Technology
1. Candidates who have passed in any of the following examinations of the University of Mysore or any other recognized University/institute with a minimum of pass class in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply.
a) B.Sc. with Physics/Mathematics/Electronics /Computer Science/Forensic Science/ Speech and Hearing as a major component at B.Sc. level
b) B.E /B.Tech. with Electronics/Computer Science/Communication
c) M.B.B.S.

2. Employees working in the forensic related field in forensic laboratories would be given preference.

3. No upper age limit is applicable

P.G. Diploma in Neuro-Audiology*
1. Admission is open to the candidates who have passed B.Sc. (Sp. & Hg.) / BASLP or equivalent from any other recognized university

2. Those with the above qualification, working in the electrophysiological lab or sponsored /deputed from any hospital, medical college or institution would be given an additional weightage of 2%.

3. No upper age limit is applicable.

P.G. Diploma in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (PGDAAC)
1. Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Augmentative and Alternative Communication is open to the candidates who have passed in any of the below mentioned examinations of the University of Mysore or any other recognized University or Institute with a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.

a) B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / B.A.S.L.P. or equivalent from any other recognized University.
b) Bachelor in Special Education (in Hearing Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disability, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple disabilities) or equivalent from any other recognized University.

2. The proportion of candidates to be admitted with the qualifying examination of B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / B.A.S.L.P. and B.S.Ed. streams, will be decided by the institution where the programme is initiated.

3. Those with the above qualification, who are sponsored / deputed from any recognized institution, organization would be given an additional weightage of 2%.

4. No upper age limit is applicable.

Stipend:

Students admitted to the Bachelor of Special Education (Hearing Impairment) programme will be given a stipend of Rs. 400/- per month for 10 months in a year.
