Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh invites applications for UPCAT MDS 2015, (Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test Dental) for the year 2015.

UPCAT MDS is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) at Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh

UPCAT MDS is conducted by Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

UPCAT MDS Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must have a recognised degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) awarded by an Indian University in respect of recognised Dental College.

=> Qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he can be admitted to the MDS Course of any University in India.

=> Candidates who possess PG Diploma recognised by the DCI with the duration of 2 years (proposed) in particular specialty is eligible for admission in MDS in the same specialty and the duration will be 2 years. The syllabus of two years programme will be as per the concerned university guidelines.

=> Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the postgraduate training restricted to the dental college/institution to which he is admitted for the time being exclusively for postgraduate studies.

Fee Details:

FEE STRUCTURE FOR MDS : Rs. 8.45 lacs per year.
It may be modified by the fee fixation Committee constituted under the guidelines of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. College security, Hostel Charges, Hostel Security are extra. Contact College of choice for details of other fee

UPCAT MDS Important Dates:

• Last date for receiving completed application forms : 31st January 2015
• Date of Examination at Lucknow and Delhi only : 8th February 2015

Question Papers Pattern

The entrance examination will comprise of an objective type examination of 180 minutes duration containing 200 questions of 200 marks.

=> There will be 50 questions each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany.

=> The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10 + 2 examination (ICSE/CBSE/U.P. Board or equivalent).

=> The question paper will be given in English only.

=> The candidate is required to answer 200 MCQs in 3 hours.

=> Each question shall carry equal marks.

=> All questions will be objective type with Multiple (1, 2, 3, 4) choice of which, only one will be the appropriate response and therefore the correct choice.

=> Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.

=> Zero marks shall be given to no response.

=> There will be no negative marking for incorrect answer or more than one choice indicated against a question.
