* A Candidate appearing for entrance examination for MDS will be eligible only if she / he :
1.1 has passed BDS examination from Recognised College / University in U.P. or any other state in the Country.
1.2 has completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotating internship from centers recognized by the Dental Council of India for this purpose.
1.3 registered permanently with State / Dental Council of India at the time of admission.
1.4 possesses certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended.
2. The Candidate will also submit in original the above mentioned certificates (i-iv) at the time of counseling / joining without which admission to P.G. Course shall not be granted.
3. A student, who is already admitted to any course in any institution can only be eligible to apply for any other course only after passing the first course. An undertaking to this effect will be obtained from the candidate. Concealment of facts would invite disqualification.
Full credit, i.e. half mark (1/2) will be given for each correct answer. There will be negative marking in the entrance test. 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. More than one choice given by the candidate will be considered as wrong answer
The period of training for obtaining MDS Degree shall be three completed years including the period of examination.
No transfer of seats from one subject to the other and one college to other college shall be allowed after final counseling.
Fee Rs. 8.45 lacs (Eight Lacs Forty Five Thousand) per year. College security, Hostel Charges, Hostel Security, University Examination Fee are extra. Contact College of choice for details of other fee.
Application form and information brochure will be available from 01.01.2014 at all the private dental colleges running the MDS course under the association against payment of Rs. 1000 as examination/test fee.
1.2. Application forms and OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheet must be filled by using blue point pen. You must read the instructions and fill up correctly and clearly as per directions given in the information brochure. Once the application form and OMR sheet is filled up, No change
should be made. There should not be a mistake, cutting or over writing. No alteration will be permissible in the application at any later stage.
1.3. All necessary documents are to be attached with the application form. The application form/result / counseling/ admission will be cancelled at any stage if any relevant document/ information has been concealed or falsified.
1.4. Serial No. of application form / OMR sheet must be mentioned in all future correspondence.
1.5. Do not fold, staple or use pins on OMR sheet as the computer may not read the OMR sheet.
1.6. Candidate must affix latest passport size photograph on the space provided on application form and OMR sheet and send two spare photographs along with the application form. The photograph should be attested by the Principal/Dean of college last attended / or a class I Gazzetted Officer.
1.7. A candidate if employed, must have a No Objection Certificate signed by the employer for appearing the entrance examination, failing which application may be rejected.
1.8. Application form must be accompanied with :
1.9.1. Attested photocopy of matriculation certificate.
1.9.2. Attested photocopy of 10 + 2 Pass certificate and mark sheet.
1.9.3. Attested photocopy of mark sheets of all professional examination of BDS.
1.9.4. Attested photocopy of Provisional/Permanent dental registration of DCI / State Dental Council.
1.9.5. Attested photocopy of compulsory rotatory internship certificate.
1.9.6. Attested photocopy of BDS passing certificate.
1.9. All original certificates will be produced by the candidate at the time of counseling/joining, any failure or concealment/falsification of facts will lead to cancellation of candidate's claims to any seat or any benefit accruing their after for appearing in examination.
1.10. Applicants should send their application forms well in advance by ordinary post so as to avoid rejection on account of postal delay.
2.1. The association of Pvt. Dental & Medical colleges of UP may amend any order / instruction in information brochure.
2.2. The number of seats as shown in information brochure may be amended as per permission of Govt. of India and Dental Council of India.
2.3. All disputes pertaining to the UPCAT MDS -2014 shall fall with in jurisdiction of Distt. Lucknow.
2.4. In case of ambiguity in rules, interpretation by the Association of Dental & Medical Colleges of UP shall be final.
2.5. The counseling and allotment of seat will be as per merit and choice of candidate.
2.6. The waiting list will be institution based & if any vacancy arises due to non-joining of the candidate seats, it will be filled from waiting list by the concerned college under intimation of the Co-ordinator, UPCAT MDS - 2014
