Indian Institute of Technology, Indore invites applications for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) for the year 2015.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore

IIT Indore invites applications from highly motivated research oriented students for admission for its full time and part time PhD Program under Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) scheme (Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT) in the following areas of specialisation of different disciplines for the AY 2014-15

Ph.D Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering
1. Minimum first class* Master degree in the relevant discipline of the Engineering/Technology, OR

2. Minimum first class* Bachelor degree in the relevant engineering/ technology discipline from a reputed Institute with a valid GATE score, OR

3. BTech degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with a minimum CPI of 7.0 OR

4. Minimum first class* Master degree in the relevant discipline of Science with valid GATE qualification OR UGC/CSIR-JRF qualification OR equivalent fellowship

Application Procedure for Ph.D:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

=> => Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criterion mentioned in the advertisement should appear for the walk-in written test and/or interview at 09:00 hrs on December 29, 2014 at PACL campus of IIT Indore. Interviews may extend on the next day (30 December, 2014). Candidates should make their own arrangements for stay. No TA/DA will be provided.

Candidates are required to submit following:
=> Candidates should bring detailed CV,
=> Two passport size photographs, original and attested photocopies of all documents,
=> Certificates, degrees and mark sheets (Xth class onwards).
=> Candidates should also bring original and attested photocopy of GATE score card and/or CSIR-JRF/NET examination result, if applicable.
=> In addition, candidates may also bring copies of certificates/testimonials/documents which they may wish to bring to the knowledge of the selection committee.

IIT Indore is one among the new IITs. It started from the academic year 2009-10. IIT Indore is an autonomous engineering and technology institute of higher education. It will come up in 525 acre of land at Simrol, 25 km from Indore. Union Human Resources Development Minister Mr. Arjun Singh laid the foundation-stone of the Institute on 17 February 2009. IIT Bombay is currently mentoring IIT Indore.
