Eligibility Criteria:

- Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Museology.
- Master’s degree holders in Museology should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks or a ‘B’ grade in the UGC 10-point scale or an equivalent grade in aggregate.
- Relaxation for Reserved Categories:
- A 5% relaxation in marks will be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled categories.
- Candidates who obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19.09.1991 are also eligible for the relaxation.
- Other Relevant Degrees:
- Master degree holders in other relevant subjects or those with BE/BTech/MBBS degrees may apply, subject to fulfilling the conditions specified in Clauses 5.3 and 6.4 of the University of Calcutta (Regulation for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, PhD) Regulations 2016.
- Equivalence for Degrees from Other Universities and Foreign Students:
- Candidates with degrees from other universities and foreign students must obtain an equivalence/clearance certificate from the competent authorities, as outlined in the PhD Regulations 2016 (Clauses 5.1A and 5.1B).

- Complete the payment process before the deadline of 30th November 2023.
- Candidates must fill out the prescribed proforma and submit their applications by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 100/-. Payment can be made through SBI Collect using the following steps:

- Prepare a scanned copy of the completed application form, along with self-attested relevant documents and the payment receipt.
