University of Calcutta invites application for Phd Chemistry for the year 2014 - 15.
Phd Chemistry is conducted by University of Calcutta.
Interested candidates should fulfil following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates should have a Master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university.

=> Candidates will be short listed for the course on the basis of their performance in the written test score and personal interview conducted by the university
=> However, applicants who have cleared the NET/SET/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship/equivalent examination or passed the M.Phil/M.Tech/equivalent examination will have to directly appear for the interview
=> Candidates willing to pursue their research work, leading subsequently to Ph.D (Sc.) Degree of the University of Calcutta, should apply in the format given below after paying Rs.100/‐ in the University Cash Counter (as application fee for Ph.D admission) through a challan obtainable from the cash Counter at Calcutta University
=> All candidates should apply in plain paper using the format supplied to “University of Calcutta, Kolkata, Department of Chemistry, University College of Science, Rashbehari Shiksha Prangan, 92, APC Road, Kolkata-700009”

A written MCQ Exam will be held in the dept. on : 21st November 2014 at 12.00 Noon
Phd in Chemistry
=> MCQ Examination of 1 hour duration will be held in the dept. on 21st November 2014 at 12.00 Noon
=> MCQ Examination will be based on B.Sc (Hons.) and M.Sc Syllabi of this University
=> Separate sets of questions will be there to suit the specializations of the candidates
=> At present, approximately a maximum of 20 students will be taken for the Ph.D Program
