PGDRDM Admissions 2014 at National Institute of Rural Development

Application invites for One-year Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management, PGDRDM for 2014-15. to create a committed and competent cadre of Rural Development professionals in the country.

Total Number of Seats: 50 Seats (may undergo some change depending upon the availability of infrastructure. Of these, up to 10 seats may be allotted to the international in service candidates)

Eligibility for PGDRDM :

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirement of graduation before 01st Aug 2014 may also apply

Selection Process for PGDRDM 2014 from NIRD: Selection of candidates will be made through a process of all-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language

Group discussion and personal interview will be conducted for the short-listed candidates

Application Fees:

Rs.500/-for General/OBC (300/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates) through an Account Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRD-PGDRDM, payable at Hyderabad

Entrance Test:

The Entrance Test will be conducted on 04th May 2014

Test Centres

Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dimapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram

Course Fee:

For Open / OBC Category Rs.1.60 lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging)
For SC/ST/PWD category Rs.1.40 lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging)

Seat Registration Fee:

Upon selection, a non-refundable Seat Registration fee of Rs.30,000/- should be paid by the Indian students. This amount will be adjusted against the first trimester fee

Scholarships :

The SC/ST/PWD Students will be eligible for NIRD’s Scholarship based on their performance
The North Eastern Council, Shillong, will be approached for giving fellowships to economically backward students of North Eastern states

The applications sent by post will also be accepted through downloadable form available in our website

The filled in application form should be submitted along with the application fee of Rs 500/- (Rs 300/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) Through an Account Payee Demand Draft drawn in favor of NIRD-PGDRDM, payable at Hyderabad

The filled in application form should be sent to the “Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies, National Institute of Rural Development, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030”

Application received after the cut off date shall be rejected

NIRD reserves the right to make changes to the Diploma Programme, Its design/content and the process of selection, depending upon the exigencies without assigning any reasons whatsoever

Important Dates

Last date for receipt of applications from the students of North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir,

Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep is 28th April 2014
