PG Diploma in Cyber Law Admission 2014 at National Law Institute University, Bhopal

Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre, a Centre of Excellence in Cyber Law (established by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi at NLIU, Bhopal) launches One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law in order to deal with new and critical issues relating to various legal aspects of cyberspace through distance learning mode.

Objectives of the Course

1. Fundamentals of Cyber Law
2. To familiarize students with the dynamics of Cyber Law with a focus on new forms of cyber crime,
3. To establish a basic knowledge on the technical side of Cyber Law,
4. To give an update of recent Cyber Laws developments and case law,
5. To engage with today’s Cyber Laws reality and debates,
6. To provide tools for further study of Cyber Law


Candidates having Bachelor’s degree in any disciplines from a recognized University or aqualification declared by the University as equivalent to it and recognized as such.

Student Intake:

Approximately 100 candidates may seek admission in the P.G. Diploma in Cyber Law


P.G. Diploma in Cyber Law (Distance Learning) is spreaded over two semesters. Each semester will have three courses.

How to apply:

Application Form-cum-Information Brochure can be obtained from the University in person oron request. The request letter must be superscribed “Request for P.G. Diploma in Cyber Law (Distance Learning) Application form”. Application form with details is also available in thewebsite Cost of application form is Rs.500/- to be paid in cash or through DD of any nationalized bank drawn in favour of ‘Director, National Law Institute University,Bhopal, payable at Bhopal’. In case of downloaded forms from website, DD may accompanythe completed application form, without which it shall be summarily rejected. The eligible candidates shall apply for admission on the Admission Form prescribed
by the University and send to the Registrar, National Law Institute University, Kerwa Dam Road, Bhopal-462044. Filled application forms are to be submitted in person or through ‘Speed-Post’ Only.

Last date of issuing and receiving completed application forms is July 15, 2014 till 05.00 p.m

National Law Institute University (NLIU) Bhopal was established in 1998 by an enactment of the State Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. Recognised by the Bar Council of India, the university admits only 80 undergraduates each year who complete 15 rigorous trimesters before being awarded a combined B.A., LL.B (Hons.) degree. Currently ranked third by the India Today rankings of law colleges in the country, NLIU was modeled on the lines of the earlier established National Law School of India University at Bangalore.
