NUALS University invites application for the Five Year Integrated BA LLB (Hons.) Academic year 2014-15
Admissions to the 5 year B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Degree Programme (Choice Based Credit & Semester) are made through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
The CLAT is an All India Entrance Examination conducted by 11 National Law Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes NAULS Exam is based on CLAT 2014. Further details regarding the Admission Test is made available at http://www.clat.in

Seats:

The number of seats available for foreign nationals is 04 (four)Preference shall be given to candidates from SAARC countries
If sufficient candidates are not available for Foreign National Category, such vacant seats shall be filled from the All India General Category candidates in the order of CLAT 2014 merit
Candidates possessing the citizenship of a foreign country shall ONLY be considered for admission under this category

NAULS 2014 BA LLB Eligibility:

The candidate for CLAT shall have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate examination (10+2) or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 45 % marks

b) Exemption upto 5% from the requirement of the minimum of 45% for the qualifying examination is given to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST), Persons with Disability (PWD) and candidate’s eloigning to Backward and Other Backward Classes/Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (declared eligible for reservation in the State of Kerala)

These categories are allowed to apply for CLAT if they do have not less than 40 % marks obtained in the qualifying examination

The candidate shall not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2014. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST (declared eligible for reservation in the State of Kerala) shall not have completed 22 years of age as on 1st July, 2014

Students who are appearing for the qualifying examination are allowed to appear for CLAT. However, they should submit the results of the qualifying examination at the time of admission. If they do not do so, the candidates shall be considered ineligible

Admission Procedure:

Candidates who are appearing/appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply but they should submit the result of their qualifying examination on or before 25th May, 2014
Foreign Nationals are exempted from taking CLAT2014

The admission will be made strictly on the basis of interset merit in their 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination

The following documents should be enclosed with the filled in Application Form uploaded in the University website:

Copy of the candidate’s Passport

Copy of the statement of marks at the Qualifying Examination (i.e. an examination equivalent to 10+2) along with equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi;
Percentage Conversion Certificate from the School/Board, in case of Grades;
Copy of the Birth Certificate;

Demand Draft for Rs.5000/- drawn in favour of the ‘REGISTRAR, NUALS’ payable at Kochi/Ernakulam (name of the candidate should be written at the back of the Demand Draft); and

Three passport size photographs

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) was established by the State of Kerala by Act 27 of 2005 to be a national level institute of excellence in higher learning of law in the State. The Government of Kerala constituted this University by merging the erstwhile National Institute for Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), which was established and managed by the Bar Council of Kerala and Bar Council of Kerala Trust. NIALS was then the approved centre of the Cochin University of Science & Technology and recognised by that University.
