M.Tech Admission 2014 at Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri

Application invited for M.Tech Admission 2014 at Bihar Institute of Technology (BIT), Sindri. It is 2 years full time M.Tech program. The Insitute in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Chemical and Civil Engineering for the session 2014-16 Admission to M.Tech Programme 2014-16.

Following M.Tech Programmes offered:

i) Mechanical Engg (Heat Power, Machine Design, Production Technology & Management)

ii) Electrical Engg (Control System and Power System)

iii) Metallurgical Engg (Physical Metallurgy & Process Metallurgy)

iv) Chemical Engg (Plant Design)

v) Civil Engg (Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering, Structural Engineering)

Eligibility Criteria

* Candidates with a valid GATE score with BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in respective mentioned discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from recognized University / Insitute approved by AICTE New Delhi are eligible to apply in prescribed format

* Candidates possessing above qualifications and having valid GATE score will be entitled for monthly stipend as per at AICTE / Govt approved norms as per availability of fund from AICTE If seats are not filled up with GATE qualified candidates, Non-GATE qualified candidates may also be considered without monthly stipend

* The stipend will be provided to the students subjects to approval from AICTE

How to Apply

Application form is available on the institute website which has to be downloaded from website (www.bitsindri.ac.in)

Filled up application form must accompany a Demand Draft of Rs 700/- for General and OBC category and Rs 400/- for SC/ST category

The Demand Draft should be made in favor of “Director, BIT Sindri” payable at SBI, BIT, Sindri (Branch Code-11812)

Filled up application form along with the draft and relevant enclosures should reach to the “Director, BIT, Sindri, PO Sindri Institute, Distt Dhanbad, Jharkhand-828123” by hand /Speed post till 19th May 2014

The employee candidates should send their applications through their employer

However, an advance copy of the application may be submitted

The admission will be subjected to the submission of the No Objection Certificate at the time of Interview from his / her employer in the format prescribed in the application form
List of Enclosures

Photo copy of the following certificates should be self attested:

i) Final year/semester marks sheet and passing certificate of BE/B.Tech or equivalent;
ii) Appearing candidates should attach 7th semester /3rd year marks sheet
iii) Marks sheet of 10th & 12th
iv) Passing certificate of 10th & 12th
v) Caste certificate (if applicable) issued by SDO/DM/DC from Jharkhand State
vi) Gate Score (2014-15)

Last date for submission of completed application form by hand/speed post: 19th May 2014
Intimation of shortlisted candidates and schedule of Interview in the Institute website: Last week of June/1st Week of July
Counseling/Interview: 01st Week of July
Commencement of classes: Will be notified at the time of Interview
