University of Calcutta M.Phil in Clinical Psychology Admission 2024 – The University of Calcutta, Kolkata, is inviting applications through online mode for admission to the 2-year M.Phil in Clinical Psychology program (RCI approved) for the academic session 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have secured 55% marks in aggregate in M.A. / M.Sc. in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Clinical Psychology from any recognized University or Institute. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required. Candidates who have appeared in the final examination of M.A. / M.Sc. may also apply, provided their final marks/grades are available before the interview board on or before the date of the interview.

Entrance Test Fee:

The entrance test fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) and should be paid to the bank account provided below:

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Test (Full marks 75) and Viva-Voce (Full marks 25). Written Examination: The written examination will have full marks of 100, comprising 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying 2 marks (Total marks- 40); 10 short answer questions each carrying 3 marks (Total marks- 30); and 1 long answer question carrying 30 marks (Total marks-30). There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for the MCQs. The written exam will serve as a qualifying exam to proceed to the Viva-voce round. Details of Viva-Voce: The board of examiners will conduct a viva voce for the candidates who qualify the written exam.

Course fees:

  • Admission fee – Rs. 5000/- (for each year)
  • Tuition fee – Rs. 5000/- (per month)
  • Examination fee – Rs. 1000/- (for each yearly examination)
