Applicants are invited for to apply for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admission 2014 in Himachal Dental College for the academic session 2014-17. All India entrance test for admission to MDS Courses in Himachal Pradesh (Management Seats) Association of Private Unaided Dental Colleges in Himachal Pradesh 2014-2015.

Eligibility

* He/she is a citizen of India; has passed BDS examination from any Dental College/ Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India.
* It has completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotating internship by 31st Mar 2014 from colleges recognized by the GOI/DCI
* The candidate will have to submit the above-mentioned certificates in original at the time of counseling without which the admission shall not be granted
* An undertaking to this effect will be obtained from the candidate
* Concealment of facts would invite disqualification

1) Prosthodontics, 2) Orthodontics, 3) Pedodontics, 4) Periodontics, 5) Endodontics, 6) Oral Pathology, 7) BDC Nalagarh

Scheme of Test:

The test will be held on from 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. at (Venue of test Campus, Bahra University, Waknaghat, Distt. Solan Himachal Pradesh) 27th April 2014 (Sunday)

As per conditions, the candidates who secure less than 50% marks in the Entrance test shall not be eligible for admission to the MDS course

i) The test will consist of one paper of 100 marks carrying multiple choice questions
ii) Duration of paper: Two hours
iii) Number of questions (items): 100
iv) The test is of objective type: The test will contain 100 MCQs of best response type

How to Apply:

* The application form must be accompanied by the following certificates; certificate of passing BDS examination from an institution recognized by the GOI
* Three copies of recent photograph (passport size) duly attested by the Director/Principal of the college/Gazetted officer to be fixed on the form and admit card;
* Internship completion certificate certifying the date on which the candidate completed one year compulsory rotating internship (the date of completion of internship should not be beyond 31st March, 2014).
* Certificate of good conduct from head of the institution last attended. proof that the dental college from which the candidate has passed BDS examination is recognized by DCI; certificate of registration with any state dental council at the time of admission; form complete in all respect should be sent either by post or by hand to Principal Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar, Distt. Mandi, (Himachal Pradesh), so as to reach latest by 19th April, 2014, Saturday along with a bank draft of Rs 2000/- in favour of Dental Colleges, Sundar Nagar

Collection of admit card to be collected from the Venue of Test: 27th Apr 2014 (Sunday, 08.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.)
Date and time of written test: 27th Apr 2014 (Sunday, 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.)
Date of declaration of result (on the college website): 28th Apr 2014 (Monday)
Date of counseling at Bhojia Dental College: 29th Apr 2014 (Tuesday)
Last date of payment of the prescribed fee in the respective colleges: 30th Apr 2014 (Wednesday)
Start of Session: 01st May 2014 (Thursday)

Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar
It dates back to 1992 when Dr. V. K. Gupta, the present chairman thought of an idea to start a dental college for the students of Himachal Pradesh, the state of gods and goddesses. After various hiccups the college finally took of in 1994.
