About Department of Management Studies
The Department of Management Studies at IIIT Allahabad was established in 2004 with a focus on integrating management and technology. It is committed to promoting academic excellence through innovative pedagogy, blending learning approaches, and fostering holistic self-development among students and faculty members. The department offers two programs: a 2-year full-time MBA and a full-time dual degree MBA-PhD program. These programs serve as the foundation for achieving the department’s objective of academic excellence through both horizontal and vertical growth.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration with a minimum of 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks or equivalent CGPA for SC/ST Candidates). Additionally, they must possess a valid CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT score.
Application Process
Applicants are required to apply online at www.iiita.ac.in / www.mba.iiita.ac.in. Candidates must first register to fill out the online application form. It is advised that candidates carefully read the Information Brochure available on the official website before proceeding to fill out the application form.
Applications Fee
- For General and OBC candidates : Rs. 1200/-
- For SC/ST/PH candidates : Rs.600/-
- Mode of Payment : Through online mode
Selection Procedure
Admission will be based solely on merit, with the following weightage:
- CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT score – 60%
- Personal Interview – 40%
The Institute utilizes CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT scores for shortlisting and selecting candidates for the Post-graduate program in Management. The IIMs have no role in either the selection process or the conduct of the program.
Personal Interviews will be conducted for screened candidates based on their CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT Percentile scores.
The examination center for the Written Test & Personal Interview will be IIIT Allahabad.
