The University of Calcutta invites applications for admission to the 1st Year of the 2-Year LL.M.
Calcutta University LLM Admission
Course for the Academic session 2023-2024 at various Department/Colleges:
- Department of Law, C.U
- Surendra Nath Law College
- Jogesh Chandra Choudhury Law College
- South Calcutta Law College
- Kolkata Police Law Institute (Self-financed) [preferably for in-service personnel of Kolkata Police and West Bengal Police]
Important Dates:
- Submission of online application commences on: 10th November 2023
- Last date of online application submission: 28th November 2023
- Application Fees payment made within: 10th – 28th November 2023
Eligibility Criteria:
- Passed B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized University.
- Appearing candidates of B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B final examinations can also apply for admission but must upload the mark sheets (of B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B final examinations) before the publication of the draft merit list.
Application Process:
- Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website https://www.caluniv.ac.in/.
- Candidates must upload (i) mark sheets of B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B final examinations, (ii) SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PWD certificates, (iii) In-service Kolkata Police and West Bengal Police personnel must obtain and upload the in-service certificates from the competent authority.
- There is no application fee, and no entrance examination is required.
Selection Procedure:
- Selection will be made based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in B.A. LL.B (Hons)/ B.B.A. LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B examinations.
