GCET Medical 2015 Notification and Exam Date

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa invites application for GCET Medical for the year 2015. GCET Medical 2015 is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) at Goa. Goa CET Medical 2015 is an entrance exam conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa. The exam is conducted for offering admission to MBBS and BDS courses at Goa Medical College and Goa Dental College.

GCET Medical 2015 Eligibility:

Interested candidates should fulfil following eligibility criteria:
The Directorate of Technical Education, Goawill conduct the state level medical entrance exam on May 5-6, 2015 in paper pencil format. The entrance exam is conducted once in a year to offer admission for MBBS and BDS course at Goa Medical College and Goa Dental College respectively. Qualified candidates as per their rank/merit will selected to pursue the undergraduate medical course for nearly 150 MBBS seats and 40 BDS seats.

=> An applicant to Goa CET Medical 2015 must have competed the age of 17 years on or before December 31 of the academic year of admission.

=> An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the HSC/10+2 examination of Goa Board.

=> For Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses, minimum aggregate score in Goa CET Medical 2015 exam should be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% for a applicants belonging to PH category)

=> The students who have Mathematics as one of the subject in their (10+2) standard.

=> The candidate needs to have cleared 10+2 level of examination of Goa Board of Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination, from a recognized Board.

=> The qualifying examination must be passed by the candidates with at least 50% marks and must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology as optional subjects.

=> In case of SC/ST and OBC candidates, a minimum of 40% marks are sufficient.

Mode of Examination

GCET Medical 2015 is Computer Based Test (CBT).
Goa CET Medical 2015 Exam Pattern: the written exam is scheduled to be conducted on the May 5 & 6 2015. The Goa CET Medical exam is an objective type multiple choice exam. The duration of Goa CET Medical entrance test will be of 2 hours. The Goa CET Medical entrance exam 2015 will consist of multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each question will carry one marks. Negative marking is not applicable.

GCET Medical 2015 Application Procedure:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.
Goa CET Medical 2015 Application Form: is expected to be available from third week of March 2015 in offline mode. The application form can be obtained from designated application Reception Centrer (ARC) . Last date for receiving the completed application Form shall be April second week. Last date for receiving of Goa CET Medical 2015 application Form with late fees at Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is April last week.

Goa CET Medical 2015 Admit Card: Admit cards will be issued only to candidates in person. The applicant can obtain the Goa CET Medical 2015 Admit Card from the Admission Committee on the same day upon submission the Goa CET Medical Application Form.

Goa CET Medical 2015 Selection Procedure: On the basis marks obtained in the Goa CET Medical entrance exam 2015 candidates will be shortlisted. The candidates must secured at least 50% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC, & 45% for PH in MBBS and BDS course) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

GCET Medical 2015 Important Dates:

GCET Medical 2015 Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availablity of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

• Submission of application forms for GCET-15 (FORM A) & Collecting Admit Cards: 23rdMarch, 2015 to 1st April, 2015
• Date of Examination GCET Medica 2015: May 5, 2015 - May 6, 2015
• Submission of application forms for Admission (FORM B) together with required enclosures: 14th May, 2015 to 22nd May, 2015
• First Round of Admission : 15th June to 22nd June, 2015
• Second Round of Admission : 27th July to 29th July, 2015

(A) Admissions to Professional courses MBBS,BDS,BHMS, B.E. & B.Pharm. in the State of Goa for the academic year 2015-16 shall be carried out on basis of GCET, (Goa Common Entrance Test),which shall be conducted in various Centres, across Goa State as per following schedule.

Time : 14.00 to 16.00 hrs
GCET-2015 shall be conducted in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry , Maths and Biology, based on Std. XIIth syllabus prescribed in these subjects by Goa Board, for March- 2015 exam. Each paper shall consist of 75 (Seventy Five) questions, of one mark each, to be answered in two hours, with no negative marking.

NOTE: In the event, Hon’ble Supreme Court, MHRD, MCI, AICTE or any other regulatory body, issues mandatory provisions regarding admissions to any of the above Professional Courses, and makes it compulsorily applicable for admissions to the above courses, for year 2015-16,the above notified admission norms would be reviewed and revised appropriately, with Government approval, and duly notified.

Selection Process:

Results will be announced on Second-Third week of May, 2015 (Tentative).
