Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore invites applications for Fellow Programme Management in Agri Business and Plantation Management for the year 2015.

Fellow Programme Management in Agri Business and Plantation Management 2015 is conducted by Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore.

Indian Institute of Plantation Management Bangalore invites applications to the Fellow Programme in Management: Agri-Business and Plantation Management (FPM: ABPM) AICTE-approved, Doctoral (PhD) Programme

Duration : 4-6 Years

FPM ABPM Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Candidates should have Post-Graduate from any discipline with at least 55% marks having a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained after a minimum if three years of work subsequent to higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent

=> Those who possess professional qualifications such as CA/ICWA and CS that are considered equivalent to a postgraduate degree and have at least 55% marks

=> Candidates be currently employed in a full time job and have atleast 7-years of executive/managerial/academic experience in the relevant area as in 30th June 2015; for engineering graduates the executive/managerial/teaching/research experience should be eight years

=> Candidates will complete 20 courses equivalent to 40 credits 5 campus visits of 20 days duration each spread over a period of 2 years. Besides the campus visits of 20 day’s duration each, at least 3-5 additional campus visits will normally be needed

=> These visits are meant for comprehensive examination, defense of the thesis proposal and final thesis defense

=> For prospectus and application form, write to the ‘The Admissions Office’ along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PWD) candidates, with relevant certificates drawn in favor of ‘Indian Institute of Plantation Management’, payable at Bangalore

=> Application form can also be downloaded from Institute’s website and filled-in application along with fee may be sent to The Admission Office, Institute of Plantation Management, Jnana Bharathi Campus, Malathalli (Po), Bangalore, Karnataka-560056

Selection Process:

=> Eligible candidates with any one of the following score will be called directly for Presentation and Interview
CAT (Scores of two years old with required cut off) as decided by the IIPMB

=> GMAT/GRE (not older than five years)

=> UGC-CSIR-JRF/NET (scores not older than five years) in relevant area of specialization

=> ICAR NET (scores not older than 5 years)

=> Those who qualify eligible norms, and sponsored by Commodity Boards/Concerned Ministry/Plantation and Associated Agri-Business Sectors/Associations etc. are exempted from the test; however they will be subject to interview

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. Accordingly a blue-print for the Indian Institute of Plantation Management, (IIPM) Bangalore was prepared. This blue-print envisaged the Institute as a centre of excellence, to act as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation sector.
