CMAT 2014, Common Management Admission Test


AICTE conducts National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) twice a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE. AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries for facilitating eligible NRIs/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India following CMAT merit list for 2014-15 under special provisions defined in AICTE Approval Process and against all vacancies left after completion of centralized admission in management institutions
The notification is issued to announce the schedule for conducting First Test of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission for academic year 2014-15

The candidates will be given two opportunities to appear in CMAT; first in September, 2013 and Second in February, 2014

The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2014-15


Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for 2014 can apply for CMAT online

In case of foreign nationals the eligibility will be as per recognition and equivalence standards notified by Association of Indian Universities


Online from 01st November, 2013 to 16 January 2014 website
Choice of 3 dates and 3 cities of India for online examination in the order of preference
Allotment will be based on first come first served
Actual allotment however will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city

Admission Process

* The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective State Governments for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure
* In case there is no central counseling Scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved Institutes/University Departments

Test Fee:

General/OBC Rs 1200/- plus bank charges as applicable; SC/ST/PD Rs 600/- plus bank charges as applicable

Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card: Online through

Cash Payment (Only for payment in Rs for appearing in test in India): Through challan generated online and Cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India in India

AICTE reserves the right to change or cancel any test venue / centre and/or change the test time and dates at their own discretion

Last date for online registration : 16 January 2014
Print out of Hall ticket from: 05th February, 2014
Computer based test dates: 20th February, 2014 to 24th February, 2014
Test Timings: 09.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., 02.30 p.m. to 05.30 p.m.
Declaration of Result: 14th March, 2014
Print out of Score Cards from: 14th March, 2014 to 13th April, 2014
