Hindustan University Announces Innovative Undergraduate Programmes in Emerging Areas for The first Time in the country
Hindustan University, one of the most sought after University in Tamil Nadu, announces admission to undergraduate B.Tech and B. Arch programmes for the academic year starting 2014. The University comes under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 with the name Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) in the year 2008.
This year altogether 35 specialised B. Tech courses will be offered with specializations in a wide range of engineering and technology programmes. These specializations will improve the placement opportunities in areas of recent advances and there are plenty of avenues emerging for placement and research. This innovation is the first in the country and is being offered with the view of preparing industry ready students by the end of their study programme.
Some of the key specializations programmes in Hindustan university are, Aeronautical Engineering with specialization in Avionics, Automobile Engineering with specialization in Autotronics, Automobile engineering with specialization in Motor Sports Engineering in addition to specializations across streams including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & Manufacturing Engineering to name a few.

The student applying for the B-Tech program must be under 19 years of age and must have scored at least 50% average marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry put together under the curriculum prescribed by the Government.
In the Vocational Stream, a minimum Average of 50% Marks in any one related subjects (Physics or Mathematics or Chemistry), Vocational Theory and Practical put together is required.
And the students applying for B. Arch Courses, he / she should pass in plus two with an aggregate of not less than 50% in (10+2) level or its equivalent examination with Mathematics / Business Mathematics as one of the subjects is required. Pass in 3 year diploma (10+3) recognized by
Central / State Government with Mathematics as a subject of study with an aggregate of not less than 50%, or any other examination of any university or authority accepted by this university as equivalent of plus two is a pre requisite. All applicants for B. Arch. Course should write the National Aptitude Test for Architecture, India (www.nata.in)conducted by Council of Architecture.
