Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Hyderabad Admission to 6 Year Integrated B.Tech Program for 2014. Applications are invited, for admission to first year of 6 year integrated B.Tech degree program being offered at the university constituent centers at Basara, Nuzvid and Idupalapaya.


* Regular students who passed SSC or its equivalent examination (10th class) conducted in 2014
* Age: Age not more than 18 years as on 31st December, 2014 (21 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

How to apply

Applications are through online RGUKT website

Candidates may apply online from RGUKT website by payment of Rs 150/-) Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) as registration fee by any one of the following modes:

a) Through a crossed Demand Draft (DD) from any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of RGUKT SBH A/C No. 62282402377payable at Hyderabad. Candidates must write their Name & 10th class Hall Ticket number on the back side of DD (or)

b) Through SBH Bank Challan: A/C No. 62282415161 (through SBH branch only) (or)

c) Through SBH Internet Banking (i - collect): A/C No. 62282412273 (through SBH branch only)

Note: In case the registration fee is not remitted, the application will be summarily rejected.
Candidates can also apply through AP Online services by paying registration fee of Rs 150/- and service charges of Rs 15/- per application to the AP Online service centre

In both cases, a print copy of the submitted application along with original demand draft/AP Online receipt, and copies of the certificates should be sent to the Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Vindya, C-4, IIIT Campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad-500032 by speed post/ registered post immediately

The application shall not be considered if the printed form is not reached to RGUKT


Admissions will be based on Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject by the applicants of 2014-15. A deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government for the year 2014-15 under Statute 13 (3), shall be added to the 10th class GPA of applicants from non-residential Government Schools including the Zillaparishad and Municipal Schools, with the objective of providing weightage to the socio economically weak students for admission

Founding of RGUKT * The idea to create IIITs in Andhra Pradesh came in April 2007, at the request of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was dissatisfied with the opportunities available to the rural youth and wanted to set up at least three IIITs in the three regions of Andhra Pradesh which would ensure better opportunities for rural students. * A Task Force was created under the Chairmanship of Prof. K.C. Reddy. This Task Force produced a report to the government recommending the structure and functioning of the proposed institutions.
