Calicut University welcomes applications for admission to the B.Ed programme, fostering an academic environment for the upcoming academic session.
The B.Ed programme at the University of Calicut is designed to develop the understanding and competencies necessary for effective teaching-learning processes at the secondary stage. It adheres to academic standards set by the University, covering admission criteria, course structure, examination schemes, instructional hours, practice teaching requirements, and student attendance, in accordance with the rules and regulations of NCTE.
Calicut University: B.Ed Programme Admission
Eligibility Criteria
Prospective candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- A pass in BA/B.Sc degree from the University of Calicut or an equivalent degree under the 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in Part-I+II+III together, or 50% marks for Part-III alone.
- Master’s Degree in the same subject with a minimum of 50% marks or 10+2+5 pattern for Integrated M.Sc Course or 10+2+3+2 pattern for M.Com.
- B.A/B.Sc Degree holders under the liberalized scheme of the University of Calicut are exempt from the 10+2+3 pattern requirement.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
- Candidates from other Universities outside Kerala must submit an Equivalency Certificate with their application.
Application Procedure
The application form is available for download on the official website of Calicut University: www.universityofcalicut.info. The completed application for B.Ed Courses 20XX-XX in affiliated Colleges and University Teacher Education Centres can be submitted to the concerned institution by remitting the application fee of Rs.100/-. Application forms are also obtainable from the respective colleges.
