Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Manipur announces admission for Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) for 2014 intake. Online applications are invited by All India Institute of Speech & Hearing (AIISH), Mysore from domicile candidates of North East state viz Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura for Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) course at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal for the Academic Session 2014-15
12th PUC (PCM/B)
08 seats (Combined) for the domicile candidates of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura (UR – 4 seats, SC – 2 seats, ST – 1 seat, OBC – 1 seat) 1 seat for candidates who have passed Diploma in Speech, Hearing and Language from RIMS, 1 seat for All India Quota
Admission to BASLP is open to candidates of North East State excluding Assam who have passed the 2 year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-University Board of the States concerned or any other examination (10+2) considered as equivalent thereto
Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50% (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission
Only those candidates who have studied at least three subjects from among Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics are eligible
The entrance examination will be conducted by the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysore at various centres in India
The Selection of the candidates for admission to BASLP in RIMS, Imphal shall be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance examination and according to the reservation of seats as shown above
Student qualifying through the entrance examination for admission to BASLP will be given a stipend of Rs. 400/- for 10 months in a year for the first 3 years
Online application are to be submitted along with application fee of Rs 400/- (Rs 275/- for SC/ST). A copy of the printed online application may also be sent to Director, RIMS and Imphal for information
