he Bharatanatyam (distance mode) programme of SASTRA aims at making the in-service to the traditional and performing Artists in dance to acquire relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes in pedagogical methods and praxis methods of our Indian Natyasastra

Any bachelor degree from a recognized Foreign/Indian University with a fundamental knowledge of Bharatanatyam

2 years (80 contact hours per year)

In any case the course will have to be completed within a maximum period of five years after the entry into the course
Medium of Instruction will be English

Teaching Methodology:
The methodology of instruction is different from the conventional system
In distance learning, specific emphasis is laid upon self-study and the learning process takes place with the help of printed materials rather than face-to-face communication

Cost of web application form 20$; tuition fee for Master of Fine Arts, Bharatanatyam 1530$ (per annum); one time admission fee 50$ to be paid during the time of admission

Application Form:
The candidates have to submit the filled in application form along with the programme fee in the form of Banker’s cheque in favour of SASTRA University payable at Thanjavur, addressed to the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, SASTRA University, Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, South India-613401

Filled in application form with attested copies of certificates should reach on or before 14th April, 2013
