Rajasthan Technical University Kota Ph.d Admission 2013

Eligibility :
* The candidate should have passed master’s degree in the appropriate discipline of any recognized university/institute or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all years/ semesters) where marks are awarded or minimum equivalent cumulative grade point average (CGPA) as defined by AICTE
* A relaxation of 5% in the minimum eligibility shall be applicable to the applicant belonging to the categories of SC/ST/PH/VI
* The part time applicant proves to the satisfaction of the DRC that his official duties permit him to devote sufficient time to research through written endorsement from his employer in prescribed form
* Facilities for pursuing research are available at the applicant’s parent organization/place of work in the chosen field of research
* Applicant submits the certificate issued by the parent organization for the period required to fulfill the residential requirement during course work/contact days with supervisors after completion of course work as notified by university from time to time

Admission Procedure:
In all Ph.D programmes the admission shall be granted on the basis of admission test (Rajasthan Technical University Doctoral Admission Test-RTUDAT)
The detail schedule will be announced separately through the information given on the website www.rtu.ac.in
The RTUDAT shall be conducted at premise of RTU, Kota
RTU-DAT shall consist of two papers of 300 marks

Paper-I shall be held in the first session carrying 100 marks and paper-II shall be held in second session carrying 200 marks
Paper-I shall be common for all applicants appearing for a particular department and paper-II shall be separate for each specialization
Paper-I will be objective type carrying 100 questions of one marks each
Paper-II will be of 200 marks as per the pattern defined in regulations and related to specialization
List of the candidates eligible for admission test will be displayed on the RTU website and no individual communication will be made

How to Apply:
The application form along with application fee of Rs 500/- (non refundable) in the form of demand draft in favour of Rajasthan Technical University payable at Kota should reach the office of the Assistant Registrar (Research), V.C. Secretariat, Rajasthan Technical University, Rawatbhata Road, Kota-324010 latest by 10th January, 2013 by registered/speed post No courier post shall be accepted The application forms and the details of the programme can be downloaded from the website of the Rajasthan Technical University Kota www.rtu.ac.in If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one department, he/she shall have to submit separate application form along with the fee The last date of submission of completed application form is 10th January, 2013

Date of examination: 21st January, 2013 (Paper-I); 22nd January, 2013 (Paper-II)
Display of merit list: 29th January, 2013

Fees deposition and joining the department: 13th February, 2013
