One year Residential Certificate Course in Dramatic Arts Admission 2013-14


Sikkim Theatre Training Centre, Gangtok of the National School of Drama invites application for its ‘One Year Residential Certificate Course in Dramatic Arts’ commencing from 1st May 2013 to 30th April 2014 at the NSD Sikkim Theatre Training Centre, Development Area, Gangtok.

Essential Qualifications:

10+2 from any recognized board.


Minimum 18 years & Maximum 30 years as on 1st January 2013.

Interview /Audition

will be conducted at Sikkim Theatre Training Centre, Nepali Sahitya Parishad Bhawan, Development Area, Gangtok on 20th & 21st April 2013 from 9.00 a.m. onwards.

Applicants will have to appear for interview at their own cost. An expert committee will assess the aptitude and talent of the candidates. The National School of Drama is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India. It was set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as one of its constituent units in 1959. In 1975, it became an independent entity and was registered as an autonomous organization under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, fully financed by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
