About the course: This course is of one year duration (2 semesters) and covers all aspects of operation and Maintenance of Thermal Power Plants and includes 2 weeks Simulator Training at Faridabad/Nagpur Formal coaching shall be held at the Regional Institute of NPTI, located at Durgapur (West Bengal) On-job training is conducted at the nearby Power Stations The course authorizes the Diploma Holders to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of generating station of capacity 100 MW and above together with the associated sub-stations

Total seats:

40 (forty provisional)

Eligibility:

Three years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation from a recognized technical board of the state/central Govt with minimum of 60% marks with I class/I grade)

Graduate engineers are not eligible

Age limit:

27 years as on 01st October, 2013

No age limit for sponsored candidates

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged and other categories is applicable as per Govt of India norms for non-sponsored candidates
05% seats are reserved for sponsored candidates from Power utilities having more than one year experience

Placement: NPTI (ER) does not give any guarantee for placement The course is advertised as the value addition program

How to apply:

Application are to be filled on-line with demand draft(DD for prescribed registration fees of Rs 800/- in favour of NPTI (ER) payable at Durgapur, must be ready at the time of on line registration)

Each applicant will be given a unique ID on successful registration at site
This ID must be preserved for future reference
On registration the hard copy along with testimonials (refer website) and demand draft should be sent to the Principal Director, National Power Training Institute (ER), City Centre, Durgapur-713216, West Bengal along with two copies of latest passport size photograph, one with application form and other staple with application form (with name and ID written on back side) latest by 28th October, 2013 by speed post/registered post only
No application will be received or considered without requisite attachments and after 28th October, 2013
