Duration of MBBS is 5½ Years including 1 Year Internship

MBBS Number of Seats : 145+5* (*Exclusive for OCI/NRI) (Under Self Financing Scheme)
Eligibility Criteria:
Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> The applicant should be an Indian national.
=> He/ she has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission.
=> The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below:
=> The higher/ senior secondary examination or the Indian school certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher/ senior secondary examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology.
=> The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination.

Admission to the course is made every year. Call for applications will be announced in the month of March every year. All major news papers in India will carry the announcement. Online registration of application will be made on JIPMER website www.jipmer.edu.in. Commencement of course during the 3rd week of July. The closing of admission is 30th September. Fees under Self Finance Scheme (SFS) US $75,000/- payable in one installment.

Question Papers
The pattern of JIPMER MBBS entrance examination is Physics: 60Q, Chemistry: 60Q, Biology: 60Q, Logic and Quantitative Reasoning: 10Q & English and Comprehension: 10Q.
=> Each answer with correct response shall be awarded one mark.
=> Zero mark will be given for the question not answered.
=> There is no negative marking.
=> All questions will be of one best/ correct response type having four alternatives.
