2 Year Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Agri-Business and Plantation Management (PGDM-ABPM) 2014-2016 (14th batch)

Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), centre of excellence and the first of its kind National Institute, was estd at the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India IIPM has been conceived as a world renowned academic institution focusing in the field of plantation and associated agri-business and commodity management education The Institute has membership with International Accreditation Agency, AACSB PGDM-ABPM (approved by AICTE) offers a range of sector-specific courses to meet the requirements of industry The classroom sessions are supplemented with lecture, video, seminar, group work, role-play, cup tasting (sensory test), field and industrial visit, study abroad and guest lecture

Duration:

24 months residential programme commencing July, 2014

Eligibility:

The minimum qualification for admission is a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institution with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC, ST and Persons with Disability) in agricultural and allied sciences or any other discipline

NRI/PIO / Foreign students can also apply

Selection Procedure:

The candidates must have a valid score of CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT exam

Selection will be on the basis of academic record, test scores, writing skill, group discussion and personal interview

Reservation:

The Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates is applicable as per the govt. of India rules, subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria for admission

Scholarship:

Meritorious scholarships from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt of India

State Govt scholarships for OBC students

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. Accordingly a blue-print for the Indian Institute of Plantation Management, (IIPM) Bangalore was prepared. This blue-print envisaged the Institute as a centre of excellence, to act as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation sector.
