Entrance Exam for Admission to Sainik School for Girls 2014

All India Sainik Schools for girls has announced the admission dates for Standard 6th for the academic year 2014. All India Sainik Schools is the only residential Sainik School for girls who have been sculpted on the lines of Military Schools and Sainik Schools of the country.

Admission is subject to qualifying in the All India Entrance Examination conducted by this Institution
Age eligibility: Candidates born between 01st June 2002 to 31st May 2004 and having passed Standard Vth are eligible for admission

Fee Structure: Approximately Rs. 1,26,500/- Inclusive of lodging, boarding, uniform and other deposits/expenditure etc. likely to be revised

Scholarship: Merit scholarships and merit cum mean scholarship as per govt. of Karnataka Scholarship schemes will be awarded to the eligible girls of Karnataka Native/Domicile only

Reservation: As per Govt. of Karnataka orders

Two seats each are reserved for Kittur Hobli and Defence Personnel

Entrance Exam: Entrance Examination will be held as per the details given below

Language Proficiency Test: English 25 marks; Kannada/Hindi 25 marks; General Mathematics 75

marks; Mental Ability 75 marks

Total: 200 marks and duration 2 Hours
(Passing in English Proficiency Test is Compulsory)

Exam Centers: Kittur, Bijapur, Bengaluru, Gulbarga all in Karnataka only

Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written entrance test will only be called for interview as per their order of merit in the written test and availability of vacancies
Interview will be held at Kittur only
The interview would comprise of the following:

Physical fitness test:
It includes 1 Km- Run, Horizontal and Vertical Jump to attain qualifying standards
Medical Exam by School Medical Authority and District Surgeon

Interview by the selection board:
The final order of merit will be prepared by adding the Mark secured in the interview, to the marks secured in the written entrance test

Registration: Prospectus along with application form will be available in the school office with effect from 01st November, 2013
Application form can also be downloaded from the school website www.kittursainikschool.org downloaded application form duly completed in all respect will be forwarded to the school along with Demand Draft only in favour of “Principal, KRCRSSG, Kittur” payable at Syndicate Bank/Canara Bank/SBI Kittur Last date for collection will be 15th November, 2013
From 16th November, 2013 to 30th November, 2013 the cost of prospectus will be Rs.1800/- plus Rs.200/- penalty charges
Last date for receiving duly filled in application forms (without penalty) will be 25th November, 2013 and (with penalty) will be 10th December, 2013

Cost of Prospectus: Demand Draft for Rs.1800/- for Gen-Category candidates and Rs. 1400/- for SC/ST candidates (with authentic caste certificate)
