Admission Procedure for M.Tech (Electronics) with specialization in VLSI and Embedded Systems
ER&DCI-IT is the manpower development and training arm of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram, an autonomous institution wholly owned by Dept of Information Technology, Govt of India The centre, formerly known as Electronics Research & Development Centre of India (ER&DCI), is engaged in a variety of research, design and development activities in advanced areas of Electronics
B.E/B.Tech degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Electronics and Communications/Electronics and Instrumentation of a recognized University, with a minimum of 55% marks for students with valid Gate Score and 60% marks for students without valid Gate Score
To ensure full availability of the expensive ASIC design suites the student intake is limited to 18 (eighteen) seats Admission is based on GATE score/DAT rank
Four semesters
As per an advanced syllabus prescribed in consultation with CUSAT, which will be aligned to suit emerging technology trends
The assessment will be based on sectionals and marks obtained for the examinations, which will be conducted as prescribed by CUSAT
Considering the very high opportunities available in our country and abroad for highly skilled electronics engineers in advanced areas of hardware circuit design, and also considering the in-depth, hands-on project experience and theoretical knowledge gained during the course of the academic programme, the student will emerge from the course, well equipped in the state-of-art, to garner many offers and be able to make a choice of multiple jobs which will come his/her way

The print out of the filled application form has to be posted to the office along with the fee of Rs 1000/- in the form of demand draft in favour of ER&DCI Institute of Technology, payable at Thiruvananthapuram
All cash payments are to be made to ER&DCI-IT through Syndicate Bank, C-DAC Campus Branch, Vellayambalam, Thiruvananthapuram, using the prescribed challan form available at ERDCI-IT office and the receipt will have to be given to the ERDCI-IT office
Alternatively, payments may be made by crossed demand draft in favour of ER&DCI Institute of Technology, payable at Thiruvananthapuram
