Event Description

Cognizance, the annual technical festival of IIT Roorkee, is an agglomeration of over 200 events which encompass every wavelength of an entire technical spectrum. Commenced in 2003, cognizance has emerged as the one of the largest festival of its kind in the Indian subcontinent and many of its core events witness a participation numbering in thousands.

Today it is known across the country for helping students showcase their talents at the institute level as well as in discipline-specific events. In 2016, Cognizance hosted over 18000 students of more than 1200 technical and management institutes from all over the country. In addition, this year we anticipate the international participation of more than 300 students of various technical fields from across the globe. These congregations of students from various national and foreign institutes are also given company by internationally and nationally renowned experts of various spheres of academics and the corporate industry.
