About Events

The plagiarism is becoming more common, higher educational organizations are focusing on efforts to deter plagiarism and finding new ways to detect the offence. Many authors have investigated ways of improving the methods of detection and deterring plagiarism. Others simply focused on the influences of sociocultural backgrounds of the students to plagiarism. However, there remains a lack of available data on author’s knowledge and understanding of plagiarism. “The Plagierism is guiding right direction of publication and making
originality to author’s work. It is gaining the ideas and thoughts of others and make it in a meening ful
way to re-represent with author’s own ideas and thought.” The idea remains problematic with unclear definitions and unclear rules. Plagiarism is considered academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics. Therefore, plagiarism in some contexts is considered theft or stealing, the concept does not exist in a legal sense. This workshop facilitates the development of new ideas and awareness of plagiarism for qualities of research output among the faculty members and research scholars. This workshop is aims to be a platform for discussion, knowledge sharing on issue of plagiarism which is highly relevant to all the authors of scholarly communication. The workshop will have eminent experts from industry, academia, as resource persons, library professionals who have been early adopters of tools and technologies which are used to detect and prevent plagiarism. This workshop would be a rare opportunity for researchers, faculty members and Library& Information Science Professionals to gain knowledge of various facets of plagiarism.
Objectives of the Workshop
1. To create the awareness of the anti-plagiarism;
2. To explain copyright issues management tools;
3. To provide practical ‘hands-on’ training in Turnitin;
4. To suggest the measures to avoid similarities.
