About Events

National Seminar On Law, Social Transormation And Scheduled Cast And Scheduled Tribes organized by Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow which will be held on April 20 2015. This is to inform that Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow has revised the Title and themes of Seminar under the imperative and Instructions of National Commission of Scheduled Castes (NCSC) for not using the term ‘Dalit’. The plight of Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes in a couth civilization like India makes a progressive citizen speechless even after so many years after independence. Discrimination, biased treatment, sexual assault on Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes women, least share in proprietorship, caste based genocide, marginalised participation in electoral process, unequitable representation in all strata of society, absence of legal framework for mainstreaming
Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribess in to economic arena, loss of identity, caste ridden society and social stigmatisation of Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribess, manual scavenging, abuse of protective discrimination against Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes interests, poor status of Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes women, religious rights of Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are some of the glaring examples.
