NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (Commerce) [NMAT (C)] is an objective test of 120 minutes duration for admission to 3 - years BBA and B.Com (Hons.) programmes. The various skills that will be tested in the written exam are Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Proficiency in English Language, Reasoning and General Intelligence each comprising of 40 questions.

Eligibility Criteria

For MBA & MBA (HR)

The candidates must be the Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/ 4) in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in the first attempt from a recognised university for MBA and MBA HR course (Mumbai Campus)

For MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)

The candidates must be the Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3/4) in Pharmacy, Science, Life Sciences, Medical doctors MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from a UGC recognizsed University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt. Post Graduate degree in Economics, Psychology and Sociology can also apply

Candidates with B.Tech & B.E in Bio-Tech & Bio-Medical are also eligible to apply

The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/ Institution awarding the degree

Registration Fee for normal registration for either MBA Full Time - Mumbai Campus or PGDM - Bangaluru/PGDBM - Hyderabad Rs. 1100/-
Registration Fee for both MBA Full Time - Mumbai Campus and PGDM - Bangaluru /PGDBM - Hyderabad Rs. 1500/-
Registration Fee for late registration for either MBA Full Time Mumbai Campus or PGDM-Bangaluru/PGDM-Hyderabad Rs. 1100/-
Registration Fee for both MBA Full Time - Mumbai Campus and PGDM-Bangaluru/PGDM-Hyderabad Rs. 1500/-

How to Apply

Admission for all the Full Time Programmes mentioned above is through NMAT by GMAC™ exam. For all test related information please visit Official Website. Candidates can apply for more than one Programme and more than one Campus

Apply Online

Step 1: Visit Official Website into register online and complete registration process by paying registration fee. Please remember your NMAT by GMAC registration number. It is mandatory to complete the NMAT by GMAC test registration before proceeding for the NMIMS application.

Step 2: Visit Official Website enter your NMAT by GMAC registration No. and complete the application process, without this number you will not able to proceed further to fill up NMIMS application form.

Payment of Registration Fee: The mode of payment will be as under (a) Credit card (b) Debit Card and; (c) Internet Banking

GMAC will carry out the online registration & will conduct NMAT by GMAC™ on behalf of NMIMS. Please Visit Official Website for registration. For appearing for NMAT by GMAC™, online application has to be duly submitted & payment of registration charges need to be made in any of the prescribed mode within stipulated time

Exam Pattern

NMAT would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type questions)

The NMAT by GMACTM will comprise the following:

  1. Language Skills - 32 (No of Questions); Allotted Time 22 minutes
  2. Quantitative Skills - 48 (No of Questions); Allotted Time - 60 Minutes
  3. Logical Reasoning - 40 (No of Questions); Allotted Time - 38 Minutes

Total Questions: 120 and; Duration: 120

Each of the section has separate timing. The candidates should answer and review the question within the allotted time

If the candidate completes the selection before the section time gets over the remaining time of the previous section will not be added to the next section. Please note that there will be no negative marking.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.



The candidates are required to enter their respective NMAT 2017 Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of NMAT and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.
