The All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) is the entrance examination generally conducted by IIT's for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Program offered by IIT's and many leading Universities and Colleges. The All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) is a National Level Test being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
This test shall be for those institutions that are presently holding their own entrance test and admitting all their students or a certain percentage of them on all India basis. Students admitted on All India basis in the State level institutions shall be admitted only through the AIMCET. However, all the States shall continue to hold their own common entrance tests for admission to MCA programmes in institutions within their States as before.
The objective of conducting the AIMCET on all India basis is to identify meritorious and motivated candidates through a single common entrance test for admission to Master of Computer Applications programmes being run by various institutions in the country. The admission is to be granted by the individual institutes as per policy applicable to them and the score of AIMCET.

Candidates need to pay the required fee through one of the modes that are Bank Challan or paying using Credit or Debit card or Net Banking.

Computer Awareness: Organization of a computer, Structure of instructions in CPU, Computer memory and back-up devices, Binary and hexadecimal representations, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and 2 complement arithmetic, Integers and fractions, Binary Arithmetic, Boolean algebra, Truth tables, Venn diagrams, Addition, subtraction, floating point representation of numbers.
General Awareness: Economic Condition of India Current affairs, Business Scenario and General Knowledge.
Logical Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning: Decision making, Discrimination, Arithmetical reasoning, Differences, Analogies, Analysis, Arithmetical number series, Judgment, Observation, Relationship concepts, Space visualization, Similarities and Verbal and figure, classification, Problem solving.
Mathematics: Vectors, Probability and Statistics, Algebra Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Differential Calculus, Set Theory, Trigonometry, Linear Programming.
The conducting authority has released the AIMCET Admit Card 2017 online on May 2017. It has been issued to all the provisionally registered candidates and is available at the official website of AIMCET. The admit card is a mandatory document, one requires to seek entry into the exam centre and to appear in the exam. All the candidates are required to download their respective Admit Card of AIMCET online only as it will not be sent through post or email. In case, the candidates will fail to furnish the valid hall admit card, they will not be allowed to take the test. Also, they must retain the admit card even after the conduct of the exam as it may be asked to be produced at the time of counselling.
The cut off score depends on difficulty level of exam, availability of seats, number of applicants, etc. Based on the cut-off score examination authority prepares the merit list and candidates are called for counselling. CBSE will prepare AIMCET 2017 cut off score based on which candidates will be positioned in merit list as per their marks scored in the exam.
The candidates are required to enter their respective AIMCET 2017 Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of AIMCET and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.
Candidates who are qualified in All India MCA Common Entrance Test will be called for the counselling process of AIMCET 2017.
