General Engineering

About

General engineering (GE) is a comprehensive program in basic sciences, engineering sciences, and engineering design that put emphasis on real world problem‐solving by collaborating with industries. Degrees in general engineering cover engineering basics plus a specialty area or technical field of study.

Course curriculum in an undergraduate general engineering program provides students with a firm foundation in physics, calculus and differential equations. Students also learn data analysis and engineering design before studying a specialization area which suits their interests or career goals. The coursework can range from computer science, construction and robotics to architectural and mechanical engineering. Master of Science programs in general engineering are also offered to candidates interested in pursuing this course at the graduate level.

General engineering students can work as Sales Engineers, Industrial Engineers and Environmental Engineers.
