For SC\/ ST\/ PwD category candidates, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.0 at both UG and PG levels is required. GATE scores are not mandatory for either full-time or part-time scholars.<br><br>Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering\/ Technology must have a valid GATE score (not mandatory for part-time), and at least a CGPA of 8.0\/10 or 75% of marks for GEN\/ GEN-EWS\/ OBC-NCL category, and a CGPA of 7.5\/10 or 70% marks for SC\/ ST\/ PwD category.<br><br>Note: Specific department requirements may vary. Departments such as Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering also consider M.Sc. candidates. However, GATE\/UGC-CSIR-NET\/INSPIRE qualification is mandatory for M.Sc. candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Science Departments:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must hold a Master\u2019s degree in the relevant discipline of Science (Mathematics\/ Physics\/ Chemistry)\/ B.Tech or equivalent degree\/ M.Tech or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.5 at both UG and PG levels (where applicable) for GEN\/ GEN-EWS\/ OBC-NCL category. For SC\/ ST\/ PwD category candidates, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.0 at both UG and PG levels is required. If paid by any chance, it will not be refunded.
