Candidates can check the syllabus of CUCET 2023 to know the subjects, units and topics that have to be studied for the upcoming entrance examination. The subject-wise CUCET syllabus will allow the candidates to become familiar with the topics that they have to prepare to excel in the examination. Read to know more about CUCET Syllabus 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cucet-philosophy-syllabus\">CUCET Philosophy Syllabus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This test is designed to assess the test takers\u2019 general proficiency in the use of Philosophical terms as a means of Philosophical concepts in real life situations and specifically to test, the test takers\u2019 knowledge of basic philosophical terms, their knowledge, their ability to understand, and also their ability to apply the elements of Philosophical Phenomena.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UNIT 1: Nature and Scope and Branches of Philosophy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Classical Indian philosophy: Concepts of Vedic and Upanishidic period-(i) RTA, (ii) Vedas, (iii) Yajna (iv) RNA(v) Karma and Moksha. C\u0101rv\u0101ka School of Indian Philosophy: materialism and hedonism. Yoga philosophy: nature of yoga, kinds of yoga, eight-fold path, psychology of Yoga, consciousness.Contemporary Indian philosophy: Gandhi- truth, non-violence, satyagrah, swaraj, critique of civilization; Jyotibha Phule- critical understanding of Caste system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UNIT 2: Philosophy and Science<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Relation of philosophy with science and religion, Branches of Philosophy: Metaphysics, Epistemology, Axiology, aesthetics. Classical western philosophy: pre-Socrates Philosophers- Thales, Anaxagoras, Anaximenies, Pythagoras, Parmenides, Heraclitus. Modern philosophy: Descartes, Spinoza.
