Eligibility Criteria

M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration)

– A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
(a) 10+2+3 years pattern (or)
(b) 10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern (or)
(c) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm. (or)
(d) (i) 10+2+AMIE* (or)
(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*

M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications)

– The candidate pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and
obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
(a) 10+2+3/4 years Pattern (or)
(b) 10+3 years diploma + 3 years Pattern (c) (i) 10+2+AMIE* (or)
(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE*

M.C.A. Lateral Entry

– The candidate pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science / Information Technology) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination. 10+2+3 years Pattern

Note:

  1. Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in degree courses are not eligible except for MCA degree courses.
  2. Candidates with a degree obtained without studying 10th, 12th Std. or 3 years degree program are not eligible.

Application Fee

The Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC /SCA /ST candidates) towards the entrance test fees for any one of the programmes either 1. M.B.A. (or) 2. M.C.A. degree programmes.

A candidate applying for more than one programme has to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) for each additional programme online only.

TANCET PG Exam Cities

Every effort will be taken to comply with the candidate’s choice for the entrance test centre. However, any other centre may be allotted to few candidates due to reasons like non-availability of space. In any case, a centre once allotted cannot be changed for any reasons.

TANCET PG Paper Pattern

Note: 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Multiple shading will be considered as the wrong answer. Marks will not be deducted for the questions left unanswered.

*All the correct answers up to 20 will be awarded marks and all the wrong answers shall be taken into consideration for awarding negative marks. Multiple shading will be considered as a wrong answer and a 1/3 mark will be reduced

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The Registration Number assigned to the Hall Ticket should be entered at the appropriate place in the admission application form to be filed with the respective admitting authority later. All the candidates shall download the hall tickets from the Anna University website.

TANCET Hall Ticket Download Link – You can download admit card as per schedule at tancet.annauniv.edu

Hall tickets should be produced at the time of the Entrance Test and also at the time of Admission. If the hall ticket is lost after the test, a duplicate hall ticket can be obtained on payment of RS.100/- in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025, indicating the Registration No. / Application No. and the name of the Examination Centre.

Cutoff

After the exam completion, the officials released the answer key for all the sets. Candidates who got the difference in the score, therefore, can check their performance through the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test Result. Results

Mark sheets shall be downloaded from the website by the candidates within 10 days from the date of publication of results of the entrance test. The mark sheet should be produced at the time of admission. If the mark sheet is lost, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained on payment of Rs.100/- in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025.
